Overall Rating: 3.25

Cero by Corona gives a solid nod to the traditional Mexican lager experience while sidestepping the booze.

Packaging

The packaging does a great job of maintaining Corona’s classic look, complete with that iconic clear longneck bottle. However, the baby blue label feels like it’s trying to tell us the flavor is a bit weaker, which is definitely not what any NA beer drinker wants.

Look

In the glass, it presents a corn-colored, fizzy liquid with a fluffy white head that fizzles out pretty quickly.

Smell

The aroma is where it really shines, smelling almost spot-on like the real deal with a hint of sweetness that beckons you to sip.

Mouthfeel

When it comes to mouthfeel, Cero nails the smooth, refreshing vibe you expect from a Corona, sliding down effortlessly.

Taste

Any beer that needs a fruit addition is already working with a handicap. But Cero checks all the boxes for a Mexican lager.

Final Verdict

Drop in a lime, close your eyes, and you’ll find it’s tough to tell the difference from the original. So if you’re craving that Corona experience without the buzz, Cero might just do the trick.
