Packaging
Standard boring NAH can, but the black and silver stripes add a bit of pizazz.
Look
Bears some resemblance to a schwarzbier: dark brown and only see-through around the edges of the glass. Some off-white head that dissipates rather quickly.
Smell
As expected, lots of roasted malt notes with some fruit coming through—possibly dark berries or dried fruit. No hops to speak of.
Mouthfeel
Medium-bodied, but with more viscosity than I expected. Lightly carbonated, rolls pleasantly over the tongue.
Taste
Unexpected, but in a good way. Instead of roast coffee or chocolate, the flavor leans toward dark fruit—maybe prune—with a hint of sweetness and a touch of acidity.
Final Verdict
I liked it! It may not become a fridge staple, but I’d definitely buy it again.
